I didn't choose design. Design chose me. Growing up in the Philippines, I was always drawn to both art and technology—painting as a kid, coding in high school, studying computer engineering in college. During an internship, I was building mobile apps when a mentor noticed I had an eye for design. They trained me as a UX designer. I said yes and never looked back.
Six years later, now based in Hawaiʻi, malasakit guides everything I do. I design products that make people feel understood.

I'm consulting with non-profit organizations and small businesses, helping them strengthen community impact, improve accessibility, and modernize their digital presence. I also run design workshops teaching practical design skills, social media, and tech fundamentals to folks exploring the field.
In my free time, I'm experimenting with AI tools and exploring how to thoughtfully integrate them into my design process—always learning, always curious.

WHEN I'M NOT MOVING PIXELS
You'll probably find me in the ocean. I fell in love with surfing four years ago and now spend most weekends on my longboard with my friends, chasing waves (and occasionally remembering to reapply sunscreen). There's something about being in the water that clears my head and reminds me to stay present.
I'm obsessed with travel—not the tourist kind, but the kind where you eat at the corner store locals go to, take the wrong bus, and stumble into the best experiences. So far, I've wandered through the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Iceland, Japan, and across the Hawaiian islands. I love traveling solo, getting uncomfortable, and learning how people live in places that aren't home.

I've recently started shooting film photography, which has been teaching me to slow down and be way more intentional with every shot. I've been capturing portraits of friends, landscapes, buildings, and little moments from my travels.
